Congratulations
Well done to the U9’s, U11 Colts and U12’s who all came runners up in their respective leagues this season. The U9’s and U11 Colts are due to be presented with their medals on Sunday 6th May at Cobdown while the U12’s presentation will take place on Sunday 13th May at Tonbridge Angels Football Ground. Times for each team’s presentation and further details are available from the respective team managers.
Fund raising
The paper recycling is still going very well so please continue to bring any newspapers/cardboard etc that you want to give to the club for re-cycling either along to training on a Wednesday night and give it to me, or drop it off at 17 Argent Way, by my garage. We are now no longer able to deposit any of the paper at the recycling plant that is in carrier bags, so we have to remove any paper from the bags at the recycling plant which is time consuming. Therefore could we ask that wherever possible cardboard boxes are used as a collecting vessel or papers are tied securely with string and the use of plastic bags is kept to a minimum? As always a big thank you must go to Kirsty Mills who continues to make the regular trips to the paper mill on behalf of the club.
We have organized a Phil the Bag collection to help bolster much needed funds for the club. Please let either me, Alison Baughan or your respective manager know about any old clothes and shoes etc that you wish to get rid of as the collection date is set for May 17th bags are now available. If you have any other ideas for fund raising ventures then please e mail me on the club’s e mail address.
Assistance
Going forward the club is continuing to grow, and therefore is in need of people to help in any way in the running of the team's, no matter how small a contribution it may be. If you can help in any way then please do not hesitate to either speak with me or your team manager. Previous experience in football is not a necessity. We are particularly looking for assistance with the current year’s Under 10’s who are going to 11 a side next season. If you are able to offer assistance then please let me know as a matter of urgency.
Soccer School
The Soccer School continues with training taking place on a Saturday morning from 9.30 – 10.30am at a cost of £1. There are spaces still available for boys or girls aged between 6-9 years who are looking to play football and possibly join one of our teams for the 2012/13 season. Please contact myself or Dave Chart on the numbers at the top of the newsletter to book a place. If anyone is interested in helping to coach these youngsters then again, please let me know.

The club will be arranging entry into various tournaments throughout the Summer so please refer all tournament related queries to your respective manager.

The league are yet to advise on when the registration forms are to become available as soon as we are aware we will post dates on the website to when we will be starting registrations and advise parents what is required.

Please remember that payment of match fees included training costs. Once all matches have been played for your respective team the cost for training will be £1 per session payable to the manager at the start of training.

Presentation 2011/12 season
The club has decided to continue with its previously successful format for our presentation.
The date has been set for Saturday 16th June 2012, and will again be at Norton Sports Ground. Times for each team’s presentation are yet to be finalized, However, the event will be starting at 2pm, with the bar available from then.
Ticket prices will be £5 per adult, £3 per player sibling and £1 per player to include Burger or Hot Dog and use of all inflatable’s for the duration of the afternoon. Tickets are being printed and will be in circularisation within the next week.
Thank you to the people that offered assistance with running the BBQ this year.
A raffle will be run on the day with tickets going on sale a couple of weeks before for anyone that is unable to attend on the day. If you have any suitable prizes, or know of any Company that may be willing to donate a prize then please let me know as soon as possible.
